The MARS Wildlife Rescue Centre is having a fundraiser called “Walk for Wildlife” along the Sea Walk in Willow Point starting at Frank James Park.

This is to raise funds for the care and rehabilitation of the over 700 patients who come into the facility each year.

This event is a perfect opportunity to support a worthwhile cause while enjoying the outdoors and spending time as a family.

Bring the pooch along on a leash. After all s.he is family too.

Pledge sheets will be available in the near future at various businesses in the Comox Valley and Campbell River or you can DOWNLOAD A PLEDGE SHEET HERE

There is a $5.00 donation fee which will be waived if participants have pledge sheets with sponsors and bring these and the donations with them to the Walk.

Children under 12 walk for free when accompanied by a registered adult.

Please plan to come out and enjoy a stroll along the Sea Walk while doing your part to give back to the wildlife we enjoy so much and who desperately need our help.

We will have Ambassador birds on site and bird handlers and volunteers to answer your wildlife questions.

We will also be selling MARS merchandise and our fantastic raffle tickets with a chance to win 7 terrific prizes.

Walkers with the most pledges will be awarded prizes also.

Bring along a beverage container and fill up at our water station generously provided by Water Pure and Simple.

Watch this space for updates.
